Solaya – Building 8

Solaya is a private collection of 234 beachfront residences on Dubai's Jumeirah coastline, next to J1 Beach. It is developed by Meraas in collaboration with Brookfield Properties, with architecture by Foster + Partners and interiors by 1508 London. The nine gated buildings sit within landscaped gardens and are laid out to make the most of sea, city and beach views.

Building 8 is the latest release, set on the western headland of the masterplan, facing the sea. Buildings 1 to 6 have already launched, with some inventory still available. Buildings 7 and 9 are due to launch next year.

The residences
Solaya offers 2 to 5-bedroom residences from 1,900 to 7,600 sq ft, with open-plan layouts, generous ceiling heights and sea-facing terraces and balconies. Finishes include stone flooring, marble details and timber joinery. Residences of three bedrooms and above have both a show kitchen and a prep kitchen, and the five-bedroom layouts on the penultimate floor have triple-aspect views. Every residence has direct lift access into a private lobby, with separate service lifts.

The collection also includes signature homes: 3-bedroom Garden Residences on the ground floor with a private pool and a courtyard garden of over 3,000 sq ft, and 4-bedroom duplexes of over 5,000 sq ft. There is only one penthouse level per building. Penthouses have 4-metre floor-to-floor heights, a private lobby and lift, 360-degree views, a terrace with a private pool, and their own gym, spa, show kitchen, private cinema and staff accommodation.

Amenities and services
Residents have direct beach access, an in-house spa with sauna and treatment rooms, a gym and fitness studio, a cinema, a residents' lounge, a hair salon and meeting rooms. Outdoors there is a sunset pool, a beach pool, a kids' pool and play area, a yoga deck, gardens and a central Beach Park for sports and leisure. Services include 24/7 security, valet parking, doorman and porter, concierge and buggy drop-off, with à la carte options such as residence maintenance and cleaning, laundry, grocery services, personal training, spa services and private dining.

Location
J1 Beach next door has 13 restaurants and beach clubs, including Sirene Beach by Gaia, Gigi Rigolatto and Bâoli. Mandarin Oriental Jumeirah, Bvlgari Resort Dubai and Four Seasons Resort Dubai are close by, as are City Walk, The Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa and DIFC. Downtown Dubai is about a 15-minute drive and Dubai International Airport about 20 minutes.
